What's on your wishlist to change about Capitol Hill?
Hey hi I've been volunteering with the new Capitol Hill Community Council, and I thought folks might like to know about our meeting that's coming up -- Wednesday the 22nd at 6:30pm at Hugo House:
It's a big idea-brainstorming session for the Community Council's next projects to work on. We're going to start with blank poster boards around the room with various topics (Housing, Transportation, Education, Parks, Safety, etc). Anyone with ideas for how to make the neighborhood better can come and write/draw their ideas on the paper around each topic. We're also going to host small discussion-group gatherings for people who want to bounce ideas off each other.
The goal is to hear neighbors' priorities for stuff that the council can do in the short term (next few months), medium term (next year), and long term (next couple of years).
I know not everyone can make it to an in-person meeting! So, if you have ideas but can't attend, feel free to toss them out here and I'll add them to the boards for you. (But of course coming in person is even better!)
The sky's the limit for your ideas. Go nuts. We're ready to get to work and get stuff fucking DONE.
