10mm or 12mm?

hi!! my septum was just recently pierced and I was shopping for new jewellery when it's healed, and I dont know whether to buy a 10mm diameter or a 12mm diameter. my piercing rn barely peaks out my nose and it's 9mm, so I was wondering if just going up 1mm would make it visible enough or i should go up 3mms? I'll put a picture of the piercing rn for reference
