I think I’m getting the hang of this
I always do handmade gifts for Christmas, but wasn’t sure what I wanted to do this. I knew it needed to be cheap, and I couldn’t afford to buy a sewing machine. Lo and behold, my mom apparently had one she bought in like 2003, just sitting in its box in the garage. I think she’s used it maybe three times
I pulled it out, gave it a clean and made sure it was oiled and working properly. I’ve literally been so excited to make my first project.
I made these pocket warmers with rice and scented oil (yes I know feed corn would be better, but rice is cheaper lol). The first one came out horrible, but I expected that tbh. Then the second attempt went better, but it still had too much rice, which made it difficult to top stitch. Finally, on my third attempt, I was careful and took my time, didn’t add as much rice, and it came out much better. I also made my some burp cloths with my niece using terry cloth (thank goodness I have a walking foot), but I forgot to snap a picture of those.
Hopefully I get these all done in time 😅
