Why are sex workers so disliked?

Ok so I'll preface this by saying that yes, this was silly to begin with, because obviously yes, the world does hate sex workers.

I'm a sugar baby and not posting this in the sugar subreddits because they ALSO have a problem with the term "sex worker." I'm a little delulu but not delusional. Whatever term anyone uses to categorize my situation, I welcome it as long as it's not given with offense.

Anyway, I wanted to join a subreddit for women who are dating married men because not that long ago I was in sorta the same spot with my sugar daddy and I was super sad when we broke up, but I got myself out of there and I felt like I had valuable advice to give to women who are trying to leave their married man. I'm not linking the subreddit because they get enough hate as it is and it's not my intention to bring unwanted attention. BUT WHAT THE HELL. You can read in the text how snarky the mod got. I mean, am I wrong? You would think that a subreddit for women willingly engaging in relationships with married men and hoping for the demise of their marriage (which is kinda terrible on its own) would be a little more open minded but WRONG. I hate using the term internalized misogyny because it kinda sounds like buzzwords but if this isn't such a prime example of that. It's like me getting my rent paid somehow invalidates my feelings, or makes what I had less real. I have feelings too!! I'm not even an escort. But even if I was, I'm still a woman who goes through woman shit. It's like they dehumanize us. I can only wish some of them got something out of their sad relationships other than heartbreak. And I'm not saying that to be mean. If anyone knows the sub, it is TRAGIC. I feel bad for those women.

Anyway, just a rant. I have learned my lesson. It made me a little sad to get so unceremoniously kicked out. But I also know I don't want to be part of a community who has such a negative view on sex work. Plus they banned me so I have no choice anyway lmfao 😆
