Singles Inferno is so fake and scripted, and I’m tired of it—especially in Season 4.

I’m a regular fan of Korean dating shows, and I’ve been watching Singles Inferno since Season 1—not because I love it, but because I don’t want to miss out on trending topics. Still, the show’s flaws are getting harder to ignore.

First of all, does anyone actually believe they sleep on that island? It feels like the filming is carefully scheduled, with specific shooting times rather than the cast living there for real. Most Korean dating shows have a more natural vibe—we see contestants going to bed, waking up, getting ready, and living their daily lives. But with Singles Inferno, it seems overly polished and staged.

Second, the casting feels lazy and repetitive. The production team keeps copying personalities and appearances from previous seasons, as if they’re just recycling characters. For example, Song JiA from S1, Seulki from S2, Nadine from S3 (I love her personally, she's too good to be on this show), and Sieun from S4 all have a similar vibe. It’s like they’re trying to fill the same archetypes every season by tweaking their outfits and makeup to fit the roles.

And let’s talk about the contestants. It’s painfully obvious that most of them are just there to promote their businesses or careers. Everyone seems to be a CEO, entrepreneur, café owner, restaurant owner, model, influencer, or aspiring actor. Is everyone in Korea really an influencer or business owner now? Some contestants seem to be there purely because their entertainment companies want to boost their popularity.

There’s nothing genuine about this show anymore, and it’s exhausting. I need a fresh, authentic dating show, something that feels real and unscripted.
