Janelle/Christine's hypocrisy about Meri at the Lehi House

I'm rewatching the scenes between Janelle and Meri in Season 16, where Janelle brought up now Meri not wanting them to cross through her house to get to each other's house. Janelle and Christine are such hypocrites!!! Christine didn't want ONE big house because of privacy reasons, she didn't want anyone seeing go out with Kody. How is this different from constant traffic from 2 women with the most kids (noisy kids, they have admitted themselves) going through a wife with 1 kid's house? How is Meri's privacy less important than theirs? And Meri would have to constantly be aware of herself knowing that at anytime someone is going to walk thru? Since when is Meri's house a public walkway?
