Jacket: Arc'teryx Ski Guide Jacket vs Norrona Lofoten Pro gore-tex?

I'm having the most privileged of dilemmas - attempting to choose between two top-tier jackets. I wear a shell most ski days (resort or back country). I'm an avid back-country camper/hiker. I also sail and will bring my shell if it looks like it'll rain. I live on the West Coast of Canada, so packing a hardshell is always a consideration.

I had an old Alpha AR fail me and Arc'teryx gave me a voucher which I used to buy their Ski Guide Jacket, only available to folks with a pro account. It seems to be an Alpha SV with extra pockets, so extremely robust and well made. I really like the number and position of the pockets - it makes it a versatile jacket for all my use cases. I really like the drop hood, since I only use a hood if it's raining. But it lacks a few things present in the Norrona jacket.

Since my use case is a bit more weighted toward skiing, a ski focused jacket like the Norrona Lofoten goretex pro has caught my eye. There are certain design elements I like better, like the larger 2-way pitzips, the 2-way front zip and the zippered front vent. However, it doesn't have the hand pockets on the sides, and I'd only get those by going up a tier to the Lofoten goretex pro PLUS, which is heavier and more expensive. I think I could live without the hand pockets since my last shell didn't have them, but it was the only thing I didn't like about the Alpha AR.

Both jackets are high quality. Both will do everything I need. Both have their own pros and cons. I think I could easily sell my Arc Ski Guide jacket for exactly what a Lofoten Pro would cost me with a pro discount.

Has anyone had any experience with either or both of these jackets?
I'm 5'8", 180-185 lbs and athletic build. I wear medium in arc, but have not had the opportunity to try on Norrona.
