Slovenian anti-Nazi partisan Albina Mali-Hočevar was injured twice when she was seventeen and again three days after turning eighteen by a mine explosion. She briefly worked as a nurse, but she was dissatisfied with her position and sobbed from the frustration it created. 1940s
