Looking to buy: Snowblower for heavy, wet snow?

I’m looking for advice on buying a snowblower.

I’m in an area of Atlantic Canada where we get heavy, wet snow. At least 1-2 times a year, we get 3-4 feet of snow, plus snowdrifts and whatever is plowed into the driveway.

Temperatures during the winter average around -1°C (30°F), but they can drop as low as -10°C (14°F) or colder with wind chills.

My driveway is large enough to fit two cars, and I also have a walkway to clear.

My budget is ideally under $2,000 CAD ($1400 USD), though I’m willing to stretch it a little if it means better reliability.

Also, I’m not mechanical at all, so if it needs maintenance, I can’t do it myself.

What do you recommend?
