Deadlifts

I’m not sure what this move is called - you stand on gray side with cables and do a deadlift. I hate this move with a passion because of how much it hurts my back. No matter how I adjust, I am in so much pain. I’ve always had trouble with deadlifts and I’m like, convinced my anatomy isn’t compatible (5’11” and mostly legs?).

Does anyone have tips? Alternatively, if there’s a move I hate this much I always wish I could just do my own thing briefly.
