Has sonic ever been blood lusted in cannon?

Weird question but most likely not in any cannon media atleast. I don't know why but sonic.exe gave me an idea (somewhat). Just imagine a sonic but instead of being possessed he actually gets pissed off And willingly just shreds Eggman.. maybe or maybe not go insane on his friends. I know sonic wouldn't be afraid to basically kill if he needed to, I don't think he has this no kill rule (atleast not that I've heard of anything like that).but what if he WANTED to? (Correct me if I'm wrong)

I guess the classic sonic games and the sonic series would just have ended in sonic 1 or even cd at best if sonic was actually pissed off and he wanted to get rid of Eggman.
