Like it's probably not a reference at all... But these 2 scenes are just way TOO similar!

Both scenes have Sonic holding his hand out trying to save a Metal Copy of himself in a burning pit.

Like I just wanna believe so badly that this was a reference to the Sonic OVA movie! Xb
