Need help with a buying decision
I'm looking to buy a new audio system to compliment my new Sony XR65A80K. I'm moving into a condo with 10 foot ceilings and the space where the TV is located in the living room which is a big rectangle (see photo). I'll be primarily streaming movies (Netflix, Disney) & playing video games on an Xbox Series X. I really like the idea of having a sound system that delivers exceptional quality. The Sony sound bar promo video was on another level so I'm leaning towards that system ... I would love to hear what this community thinks about the options 🙏
Best Buy recommended the following options:
- Sonos Beam (2nd Gen) Sound Bar
[Model #: BEAM2US1BLK] +
2x Sonos One SL Wireless Multi-Room
[Model #: Sonos One SL (Black)]
- Samsung HW-B650 430-Watt 3.1 (Cheapest option)
Channel Sound Bar with Wireless
Subwoofer & Rear Speakers
- Sony HT-A5000 450-Watt 5.1.2
Channel Dolby Atmos Sound Bar
with SARS3S Wireless Bookshelf
Speakers - Pair
A friend recommended the following options:
Option #1: Separate Receiver Denon DRA800H (includes music streaming via internet)
Speakers Polk Audio R200 bookshelf speakers
Cables HDMI and Speaker cables
Option #2: Denon Home 550 Sound Bar (music streaming through internet)
You can add surrounds at a later time (Denon Home 150 x2)
Cables HDMI cables
Option #3: Polk Audio Magify Max AX (Atmos surround Bar) Bluetooth and network connectivity.
You can add surrounds later (SR2 Surrounds)
HDMI Cables
I'm leaning towards the Sony sound system because I believe it'll offer the best long-term value.
If you made it this far ... thank you so much!
Again, thanks a ton fam!!
