I’m so hoping I didn’t mess it up
I’ve made this recipe maybe like 3 times now. I’m thinking worst case scenario, it could be pizza dough or something but I’m hoping it’ll self correct.
Going off of sourdough mom’s 8hr loaf recipe.
My scale threw me off. I measured the water to a T in the liquid measuring cup (I had the cup sitting zeroed out on the scale as I thought this would be easier in case I didn’t have the right amount of water), but then once I poured it in with the active starter, it wasn’t even close to the weight called for so I added more. I couldn’t get the shaggy dough texture so I added more flour until I can at least not feel excess moisture in it (I think I eventually reached that texture).
Ugh. Maybe I’m just overthinking this. Idk. It’s currently in the first rest as I’m writing this post (so like in step two before stretch and folds).
