I’m not sure if my starter is doubling..

Now, the obvious answer is “use a rubber band” but, my mix is thick so it retains a shape and never falls so I don’t actually know what level it is when it starts, and when I try, the rubber band falls off because I put a small amount and my jar is curved at the bottom… so I think it’s doubling, but I don’t know
