Unlock new hair styles?

Hello all,

Im a dad with a 5 year old son. My son plays this game a lot and he has been upset because even after i bought the expansion pack, he still doesn't have the new hair styles. What's worse is my profile has a hairstyle his doesn't have, and I've never even played the game with my profile. How do we unlock or get different hairstyles that are not already in the list we have in the "other -> styles" options menu?
