Ingrown hair? Infected pimple? Cyst?

3 weeks ago I woke up to a very inflamed looking pimple very close to my eye . Kind of in the tear duct area. I messed around with it not knowing the risks . Once I realized I called my family doctor and she couldn’t see me for a month so I called another clinic and they got me in for today. Since then the spot has gone down and is less inflamed , however it is still there and noticeable . It has a foul smelling discharge aswell. Awful but the truth. Tonight I used my phone to look at it closer . And I noticed what I believe is a hair or eyelash embedded in it. You can’t even really see it with the naked eye. Only on picture or video. The doctor at the clinic said it needs to be diagnosed by a dermatologist and he doesn’t like where it’s located . But to me a foul smell says infection already and I’m scared . If someone can direct me that would be great. TIA
