16,000 Miles. 90% of Chicago

Looking back, I suppose the die was cast the moment I started.

There was no turning back.

To get here, it took a lot...late-night charge stops, freezing wind & rain, heat waves, cold snaps, flat tires, broken primary chains. It was long miles in every neighborhood this city has. It was pushing through when everyone but the F****** postman would stop.

But most of all...& I know I'm biased & this sounds like bull****...but it was ChiBatterySystems.

Started with the 60V Max, the original workhorse, the battery that refuses to quit even after 15k miles. I rode it deep into this project, knowing it wouldn’t fail. Then came the 81V Max. Faster, meaner, built to shred. It devoured the remaining miles, pushing me past 90% faster than ever.

Paired with our 25+ Amp Chargers, there was no other way to get this done in time. Stop. Charge. Ride. Repeat.

Now, the map is filled & I can rest. It as a hell of a ride though. You don’t get to know a city from behind a windshield in an air conditioned car. The bike strips it all down...you, the road, and the pulse of the city. The bike is battered, but it holds thanks to PMCS.

Hopefully we'll see many of you in June at Windy City Electric Rideout 2. It should be a grand extravaganza. If you’re in the Chicagoland area, check out at www.chicagoeskate.com and join us. We ride every Tuesday night, with special events mixed in.

Full disclosure, I do work for ChiBatterySystems, but that also means you can get a solid discount via the following link:

Or by using code JOE at checkout.

The road never ends...but you’d better have the power to ride it.
