Failed TSA interview

I applied and passed the CBT test, was offered accept or decline for the position, then did airport assessment. I failed it! I cried for two days, my heart was set and I thought I was good to go. I recognize the star method but from a different format, and I applied that but I guess I didn't fully understand the Star method, though I've gotten other jobs the same exact way I interviewed. They said I could try again in six months, but now I'm not so sure. I did wonder if it was actually my age. I don't even know what to think now. I've been a postal worker for 20 years and felt so tortured by the extreme work as of recent years. So I definitely did not want to go back to such hard work, outside. Anyone have any pointers? Should I try again in six months? I do have a better grasp of it for next time. I'm going to call out each section then talk about that specific area, in the star method.
