Has the United States ever committed genocide? Can genocide be morally justified?

also the only reason I didn't absolutely condemn genocide was because of the "genocide" that could occur when engaging in combat with reactionaries and fascists, i.e. Nazis. The goal, of course, being the entire extermination of their ideology from physical manifestation, which may result in a lot of killing.
