Maybe its just me, but the "aggressive" gameplay is starting to wear thin already
Are people really enjoying this new style of tekken? I get people got tired of the old defensive gameplay of 7, but is this really any better? Tekken 7 at least felt somewhat interactive.
Every match and every player in T8 feels the same. String -> beyblade into a stance -> time to guess -> guess right: 30 damage punish/guess wrong lose 60% and get carried to the wall -> beyblade season 2: particle effects boogaloo -> guess right -> opponent mashes heat/rage art -> welcome back to the beyblade arena
I win a fair amount online so its not really salt, its just even the games I win don't feel all that satisfying. Really feels like whoever gets the momentum first just steamrolls the rest of the round and their isn't much interaction besides praying you guess the right 50/50 option, and even then some characters it doesn't matter if you guess right because the punish you get is way less than the reward they get if you guessed wrong. Not to mention the amount of powercrushes/evasiveness in some characters stances that even if you guess right you get crushed or whiff punished.
TL;DR The game looks and feels great, but every match just being the same 50/50 vortex on one side or the other is starting to get pretty old already and the one sided matches don't feel very fun winning or losing.
