Free Mind by Tems makes me abnormally sad

Since this song came out, I almost avoid listening to it because it makes me so emotional. I’m not sure if it’s because it came out around a time where I was going through a lot or what, but to this day I can’t listen to it. I don’t know what she put in that song but it’s makes me get in my feelings every time. One day my little brother (who’s 10) was riding in my car with me and he told me to play the song because he liked it. Of course I played it but it was like torture for me. He was just singing away and I’m fighting tears. Also because I love him and want to be able to give him a better life one day. It just brings out all my emotions.
