is CS early retirement pension worth it?
Hey guys, I'm researching into applying to the CS grad scheme next year, and so I don't have access to the pension calculator unfortunately. But I was wondering if someone could tell me what are the rough penalties for taking your defined benefit pension 5 or 10 years earlier? From what I understand you are only entitled to your fully accrued pension salary at state pension age, but I couldn't find any precise figures detailing what penalties applied if you wished to take that early.
And for those of you that wish to retire earlier than normal, do you think the alpha scheme is still more generous than the partnership scheme, or does the added flexibility push the scales in the partnership's favour? As it seems to still be quite generous as well.
Any help is appreciated, thank you.
