The mob-fu from Cid, why it isn't better?

I'm not sure that this is a controversial opinion or not.

but I think Cid is bad at his mob-fu and at trying to be a mob character. It’s absolutely hilarious because it seems like he focuses more on his mob persona than on his shadow persona.

I don't think that he is a bad mob character or something like that, but the difference between he and his friends is very apparent. His friend have absoulte mob-power, they are like the shadow of being a mob.

Why doesn’t Cid learn a thing or two from them? Is he misunderstanding what it means to be a mob character? He’s not even the most pathetic in his class, despite being the one who’s actually trying to be!
