The pregnancy storylines were so strange and random.

This isn’t a big shocker and it’s probably been discussed. Caroline and Hayley had no desire to be pregnant at all. Yes accidents happen but….. when the writers finally got tired of having Caroline kidnapped and tortured they decided to get her forcibly pregnant because why not?

It is too random she got pregnant with Jo and Alarics babies. She’s basically the surrogate mother who ends up raising them because Jo can’t. And her and Alaric sharing children is all sorts of strange.

Hayley got a bigger role in originals of course. But basically her role was simply so Klaus could have a child…. One from a one night stand no less. While I understand their relationship changed in coparenting they barely knew each other. It also made no sense.

Considering how much everyone loved Klaus and Caroline why didn’t they just have one together? It would have made more sense honestly.

I wasn’t against their being pregnancies or children. The only one to me who seemed to even want kids were Elena and Rebecca. Idk seems like pregnancies in the show could have been more meaningful. Or if there had to be a child character put Elena’s little sister she had from the books in the show.

Not a rant but it’s interesting to wonder who came up with this stuff😂
