What non-electronic music has Dave been a fan of over the years?
Sitting here with the curious thought of what bands and artists he enjoys now or has in the past.
Has this ever been discussed anywhere? Any cool OD trivia that has been shared before? You can hear so many different styles and fusions in his own music like jazz, hip-hop, reggae, funk, so forth and so on. Can't help but imagine he has a broad spectrum of inspiration and taste in many different genres of music.
As for myself, aside from my favorite electronic genres, I really love tons of 60s and 70s classic rock, r&b and soul, jam and prog, blues, 80s grunge pop, reggae, various world percussion, funk, traditional Indian ragas, classical, and hip-hop, to name a handful.
One of the reasons I've always admired Tipper's artistry is the array of styles he seems to draw from and sprinkle into his work, while doing so in a way that is amorphous and unique. The evolution and directory of his entire catalogue is so interesting to me.. So what I would give to get to explore his shelves and folders, then or now 🤙
Tldr; I'd delight in knowing what non-electronic music Dave Tipper enjoys.
