Why is "gross" stuff associated with men?

Like pee, poop, blood, sweat, snot, vomit, etc. all seem to be "masculine" substances, and "Girls don't poop" is a sentence that a significant portion of adult men insist is true. Potty humor seems to be more associated with boys, with that-themed physical merchandise being more of a boy thing.
