How to reduce heavy drinking safely?
F19 drinker since 13, very heavy alcohol "connoisseur" since 15
No relevant medical conditions, 171 cm and 49.0 kg last I checked. On a combination birth control and prescribed vitamin D supplement. Undiagnosed but lately really bad insomnia.
Anyway, consumption? Think between a fifth and a liter of vodka a day depending on what size of a bottle I buy, sometimes beer in the morning. I know it's so fucking stupid but it helps me be productive in university, functional socially, etc.
I know it's a really garbage fucking habit but I want to quit it and become a healthy, social drinker. Think once or twice a week a few drinks with dinner or at the bar.
Been having a few health scares (peed blood for a while, that got solved thankfully. Sometimes random full body shaking. Weird "visuals" in the dark, like grainy holograms. Muscle aches/cramps, probably dehydration related but it really hurts and drinking water/sports drinks/coconut water doesn't work. Swelling/hardness in my calves too, tingling sometimes. Sweating, panic attacks. That kind of stuff. But those only happen when I don't drink so).
So, do I just... quit and suffer for a few days? Slowly reduce? Tried the latter but self control is a feature I lack as an individual.
Thanks!
