flashbacks of mutilation when no scarring

i have somatics / flashes / nightmares of my penis being cut and mutilated and scarred and all that shit but i have no scarring? i’m so fucking confused, has anyone else experienced similar? it’s really scary idk what it means, i’ve had these flashes for much longer than i’ve been aware of the abuse
