Finally have a date, I'm scared.

I finally got the call. I've been waiting two years but now that it's here I'm fighting the urge to delay it. I know by now that I've tried all conservative measures, but in the back of my head there's this little voice telling me to just keep waiting and keep exercising and it'll get better. But the realistic side of me knows that won't happen. I wanted to lose weight and get in better shape too, but that won't happen either, I've been trying.

So my date is February 13th. My surgeon sent me all kinds of videos to watch and instructions of things to do to prepare. I have to go get bloodwork, an ECG and an x-ray. For the x-ray they requested not just an x-ray of my hip, but also a chest x-ray. Is this standard practice to also do a chest x-ray?
