TPMS sensors on 2006 Tacoma driving me nuts!

Before I got new tires, my tpms sensors was always on. It didn't bother me and I thought it was because I had a dead sensor or two. Now after recently getting new tires, the light on the dash is flashing. It's driving me nuts. Now reading more about it, it seams that flashing means dead tpms battery, and solid light meant low pressure (which I don't think I had, maybe in the spare I guess). Any hacks to get the light to just go back to solid, or turn it off completely without having to splice wires?
