Why Are the Streets in Tunisia So Depressing ?

I've been living in Tunisia for a my entire life and I can't help but feel bummed out every time I walk through the streets. Don't get me wrong, Tunisia has some beautiful spots, but man, the everyday streets in most places? They're just depressing and ugly. First off, there's barely any greenery. It feels like everything is concrete, dust, and garbage. The sidewalks are uneven or completely non-existent, and when they are there, they're cluttered with random obstacles that force you to walk in the street half the time. It's dangerous and just looks bad. Then there's the general lack of upkeep. Graffiti that's not even artistic, broken streetlights, faded paint, and trash everywhere uglyass warnings written disgustingly on the walls like "الله لا ترحم والدين اللي يحط.الزبلة هنا"It feels like there's no pride in keeping public spaces clean and presentable. It just feels neglected, like no one cares about the environment people have to live in every day. And let's talk about the buildings. Why does everything look so rundown? It's like they're stuck in the 70s, and no one's bothered to update or restore anything since ahhh and let's just not talk about laziness that shit's in every single Tunisian. There's no color, no character, just endless rows of grey, beige, and more grey.Honestly, it's really affecting my mood. It's hard to feel motivated or optimistic when the world around you feels so bleak. I get that every country has its issues, but is there really no hope for improving the state of public spaces here? It feels like no one is even trying note: i'm aware that there's a lot of beautiful places in Tunisia but damn i live in a very dirtyass town Anyone else feel the same or am I just being too harsh?
