AITA for asking my friend whether she's been grooming a much younger person?

I (31m) have this childhood friend who I'll just refer to by her middle initial "H" (36f). H and I grew up on the same street together, and we've always been best friends. She's like a sister to me. We both know this one guy who I'll just refer to as "John Doe" (19m).

Throughout much of 2023, H has been depressed, withdrawn, and timid. She's never been like this before. She's always been very cheerful and outgoing. I've bugged her a few times, asking her if she needed someone to talk to, but she just kept quiet throughout the year. But finally, earlier this month, she finally sat down with me and she tearfully told me what happened: back in 2022, John stripped H naked and took some sexual pictures of her (and in many of those pictures, she was crying) and he has been coercing her to have sex with him so that he won't spam the pictures to her friends, family, etc.

First of all, I really thought H was bluffing. I didn't believe that John would do such a thing. He's just a nerd. But I kept my doubts to myself. Anyway, my immediate reaction was to ask H how long she's had any sexual relations with John. I thought to myself that H is 17 years older than him, and he was basically a kid when his alleged crimes took place, so...what was their relationship really like? Was H grooming John since he was a boy? When I asked H if she's been grooming the young man, she just stared at me, heartbroken, and she just couldn't speak. She just kept crying, and I quickly regretted my words.

AITA for wondering if H is really innocent in this situation? She has taken the first steps towards seeking justice against John.
