Are all of Shivin's courses like this?
By like this I mean -
- Delays in completion of courses.
- Impromptu and ill-timed rescheduling of classes - cancelling of classes on the same day, information being given out 4 hours before class.
- Cancelled classes being held at a time when working aspirants cannot attend (10 am, seriously?).
Aside from this, if he ever reads this, mate you can launch as many courses as you want, but your reputation in the market will go down if you keep launching a new 'economy/gs3' course every month and teach the same stuff or ask students to go watch lectures from other older courses because you feel its repeating the same thing.
You can keep on launching as many free initiatives/ courses but enrollment will go down if you cannot promise to complete them effectively (MRBD says hello) and on-time. I understand, course completion may take 3-4 days extra, heck a week extra from the announced completion date, but 3-4 weeks is too much mate.
You can keep launching new courses, but if you treat your courses as a one way street and shun away students' doubts, no matter how trivial, your reputation will go down. Saying stuff like 'I cannot repeat this, please go and rewind the lecture' or 'Please don't disturb me while I am teaching, save your doubts to the end' and then not listening to those doubts at the end or that 'what is the issue that the video quality is bad, listen to my voice' puts you in a bad light, because we did not pay to listen to your voice, we also paid for videos.
You can keep launching new courses, but if your single course takes half of my study time (some classes go for 3.5+ hours, just at his whim), maybe you need to restructure your courses to make them lighter on students and leave time for other subjects or revision.
End of rant.
Edit to add - another class cancelled today, lol. I think i know why, its because his other economy course was supposed to launch today, at the same time as the current course in which I enrolled.
