Malicious complianced my way out of 20 left in building stops

Figured you guys would enjoy this, I got a message the other day that there was 80 stops left in building in a subdivision near the center and first 4 back had to take 20. I got back and I saw a guy walking up to the parking lot and more than 4 trucks parked so I figured I was good, but a supervisor was camped out by the diad room and spotted me and another driver and asked if we were going to be taking 20. I asked him why are there people clocked out and going up to the parking lot and more than 4 trucks parked already to which he dodged and gave excuses. Eventually he asked us "ok well you two do what you want" and left. So we both grabbed our boards and clocked out. We never once refused to take the stops out we were just asking questions and didn't take his bait.

They tried to write me up the next morning for insubordination but by the time I got back that night they came up to me and said they're not submitting the paperwork and pursuing the warning letter. Moral of the story is don't let them intimidate you and play mind games, play stupid games win stupid prizes.
