I-485, Not applicable questions that rely on Yes/No Check boxes
Hello all
I am currectly filling an I-485 (Link to the new one https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/i-485.pdf). There are a couple of question such as question number 20 on part 9 of page 14. It asks "If you answered "Yes" to Item Number 19., have you complied with the foreign residence requirement". I have checked the "No" box on Number 19. and hence this is not applicable to me. I cannot put "Yes" because that would imply that I have complied some requirement for it and I cannot put "No" because the problem trickles down to Number 21. which asks "If you answered "Yes" to Item Number 19. and "No" to Item Number 20., have you been granted a waiver or has Department of State issued a favorable waiver recommendation letter for you?".
Do I leave the question boxes blank for those two or when I print I write "N/A" next to the question? The latter sounds odd but I want to see if anyone has done either in the past.
