Scammers scamming drivers beware!!

Hi! Today while working I got a scam order to go to McDonalds. When I arrived, I noticed the order was for 1 packet of syrup. As I was going to call the customer to ask what happened when they were placing the order, I got a strange phone call. The caller said they were from Uber support and that the order I got was a test and not real. They told me to cancel it and then asked me questions about my account. They said that a customer complained about me and they needed to verify my account information with me. They asked for my name and the amount in my wallet and where I had delivered to recently. They also asked me how many total orders I had done for the week. They let me know that my ratings were good and that sometimes customers complain about drivers to get free food. After they asked me all of those questions, they asked me what my credit score was when I signed up to be a driver. This is when the red flag went off in my mind. I told them that I wasn’t comfortable answering and they said if I did not answer then they would deactivate my account. I said this wasn’t part of being a driver and had nothing to do with signing up. I asked to speak to their manager and so the guy on the phone pretended to be a woman and changed his voice slightly higher pitched. I then hung up the phone and called the real Uber support. Uber support said they would never call a driver but that the driver always has to call them and to of course never give out any personal details. They suspended my account and said my account info was safe and they’ll let me know when I can drive again soon. I just wanted to warn every driver I can so that no one gets screwed over. Has this happened to anyone else before? What was your experience? Be safe out there!!
