Did Marx change his views on the peasants?

So there's this video from what I can only describe as an anarchist on why Communist states fail:

Namely one of the key issues is that Marx changed his opinions on the peasantoids but then Lenin and the rest didn't get the agenda or something along those lines. I've read the manifesto and principles of communism but that was a while back. I don't remember anything about Marx's opinion on peasants but do remember that he thought them reactionary and also that they benefit from private property. I'm planning on a re read soon for a refresher before jumping into Capital Chapter 2.

I'm asking this question cause this man quotes Marx himself and is very well read (I'm still a beginner and I would generally describe myself as a communist) but this question has been at the back of my mind for a long time and I trust this sub. A quick Google search gives me articles from liberal academia and I don't really trust those.

Thanks in advance!

(Cheka don't ban me for promoting libs T-T I'm just curious if this is the case)
