Is it hard to find a part time job?

Hello, I'm planning on going to uni this year, hopefully Cardiff, but will need a part time job as I have some money in savings and my maintenance loan will only be around £5,500. Will I be okay finding a part time job with no experience, or should I consider a gap year instead to save?
