📣 Call for Participants aged 18+ from the UK. Research on university experiences of Autistic students 📣

Are you diagnosed or self-diagnosed on the autism spectrum, and can you spare some time to speak about your experience at the University of Bristol, or University of the West of England?

Hi all, my name is Tilly (Tyler-May) Davies. I'm a third year, undergraduate Social Policy student at the University of Bristol! I'm looking to recruit autistic participants of all modes of study (Undergraduate, Masters, PHD, foundation year) for my dissertation project ‘Autism, support and inclusion: A qualitative exploration of the university experience of students on the autism spectrum.’ My study hopes to understand the university experiences of autistic students between two academic institutions, regarding perceptions of inclusion and support. I have a keen interest in learning more about neurodiverse and disability studies from my family background where I have members of family diagnosed on the autism spectrum, and hearing the voices of autistic students.

 To participate you must be:

Aged over 18

Diagnosed or self-diagnosed autistic

A current student at the University of Bristol, or the University of the West of England. (Undergraduate, Masters, PHD, Foundation year ect) (or have studied in the last five years)

What’s involved: An anonymous, voluntary 1:1 semi-structured interview, in the format most accessible to you {e.g. online [camera on / off], face to face or via email]. I hope this will only take 45 - 60 minutes of your time. Sensory accommodations can be made e.g regarding venue space. Refreshments provided for face to face interviews!
