Looking to move from MI to UT this year, any recommendations?
Hey Utahns!
My wife and I are seriously considering moving from Michigan to Utah this year. After visiting a few times (we even took our honeymoon to Zion & Bryce!), we’ve completely fallen in love with the beauty of the state. The landscapes, the outdoor lifestyle, and the overall vibe just feel like home.
We’re currently looking for townhomes for rent with an attached garage (plus EV charging). A few places that caught our eye are:
- ICO Ridge in Lehi
- The Sage in American Fork
- Crestview in Highland
Does anyone here have first-hand experience renting at these places? Any other recommendations for townhomes that fit the bill? We’d love any insights! These may change as I am currently looking for a job and that will ultimately dictate where we end up.
Beyond housing, we’re also looking for recommendations on cool places to eat, fun new hobbies to explore, and overall ways to immerse ourselves in the local culture. We’ve been considering trying out Momentum Climbing Gym—any climbers here with thoughts on it for beginners?
And finally, we really care about the National Parks and would love to get involved in preservation efforts. Are there any Utah-based groups or organizations that focus on supporting and protecting the National Parks? It seems like all NPs need help now more than ever.
Appreciate any and all advice! Also, I’ve attached my favorite photo below from past trips to Utah’s National Parks—can’t wait to capture even more once we move out there!
