I kind of want the Vision Pros off my hands...
Bought it a little bit more than a month ago. First week, I was using it every night after work whenever I had a chance. I had convinced myself that I could justify getting them for productivity purposes and as a tech enthusiast, it's a very cool first-gen device that I can appreciate. By the time the refund period was over, my usage declined heavily and I realized how much I was forcing myself to use them to justify to myself why it was worth keeping. Over the following weeks, I opted to do my work either on my MacBook Pro or docked with my Studio Displays. I found myself less enthusiastic to use them after work because it seemed like more effort to put them on than to just use my other devices (iPad, Apple TV, etc.)
Don't get me wrong it's a very cool and impressive device to use and it's got me excited for the apps and updates that will eventually be developed for this device... but I had to make the conscious decision to not use my other perfectly functioning devices to make the $3,500+ spent feel worth it. Ultimately, I'm sure the device is going to get better over time; but as of now, I wish I had returned it when I had the chance. Is it worth selling a used AVP on the resell market and selling it for less than retail, or should I just hold out for when there's more things to do on it? Throwing $3,500+ down the drain is not the end of the world for me, but I sure as hell would've saved that money if I knew my usage would decline so fast.
