Caught STEALING from all mart what will happen?( fresher male)

i know what the title says but i was not stealing , i had a lot of stuff in my hand and in the end i needed a soap , so i picked one and since my hands were full i kept it in my pocket . Now billing happens and i forgot to bill the soap and am then just standing outside when a lady calls me and takes me to the manager and they make me write an apology letter and xerox my id card .They said nothing will happen and this is just a warning but i think thats a lie.
What will happen guy im so scared rn
