Best sim gaming set

Hi everyone, I always have a problem about seeing aerial targets. I would like to know if there's some graphic setting to change to have a better view. I think it could be the monitor or the resolution, in that case it's convenient buying a VR? Some VR are not very expensive, but i was wandering if I'll see more things or not.

The other question is about imputs, I'm doing fine with a xbox controller, but i was thinking it could be better with a joystick, so I can use the mouse to turn around my view, opinion?
