What made you choose Wastewater as a profession?

Now I know we don’t wake up as a child wanting to play in poo for a living. I am just curious to everyone got their start or made their choice.

What made you choose the path of water treatment? Was it a family member, just stumbled upon it, an interest, or just needed a job?

What made you stay and make it a career? Before I began learning I loved the nature around my plant (turkey, deer, eagles, etc). Now I stay for the sick addiction of what I can possibly find in the bar screens, then the challenge to learn things with my tiny female brain.

We are a dying profession that majority of people don’t even know about or that we exist.
