Doing my own makeup?

Anyone else considering doing their own makeup for the big day? I’m debating as a way to save money/I’ve had my makeup professionally done as a bridesmaid in the past and didn’t feel like myself. I’m planning on splurging for some nice products that will last all day and am looking for some recommendations for products/tutorials.
