DIY Makeup, Hair, Henna, Tailoring, & Florals

All in all our wedding came out to be about 10K We had it this past December in Santa Barbara. We booked the courthouse for $700. We booked the restaurant Jane and the booking fee was $400 with $80 a plate, we spent $200 on cake through the restaurant, plus alcohol, tax, and tips. We had about 34 guests in total. As for the florals, I think I spent around $300 at Costco to make two large floral displays, three medium sized centerpieces, 24 small bottle, centerpieces, and two rose and baby breath flower garlands for the wedding ceremony. This was all done the day before. I got the glass bottles and candles from Amazon and Temu. Once you get into the group of things, it's honestly really easy. You just stick in the flower pieces where you want to.

All of my make up and henna and nails and hair was done by me. I already had experience doing my own make up for years and I did Hannah for fun when I was younger with my cousins so that wasn't a very hard thing to do for me.

I ordered the dress from Pakistan, but it was very loose so I took apart the seams and I re-stitched it to fit my body better. The red qipao I wore that for my tea ceremony. I got the initial dress off of YesStyle on clearance for $20 but I had to pretty much take apart the entire sides because it was in a four XL and I’m closer to a one XL in Asian sizing. I took away the lace that was already on the dress and replaced it with the beaded lace I got from Etsy for $40. I sewed on the beaded lace by hand and that was the most tedious and longest job, right up there with making the flower garlands.

I also did the signage on Canva and I also did my own wedding invitations. I printed out the posters for free at my local library. For the invites, I think I paid less than $40 for the paper and laminate paper. I printed them at home.
