how do you get your partner on board?
I'm determined to make my new years resolutions a reality. I am 5'3 165 and looking to lose 30lbs before my wedding in Oct. I think it's a very manageable undertaking. I'm knowledgeable about what my issue is (eating too large of portions of calorie dense food and not enough movement/protein.)
However, my fiance loves to cook and he is an excellent cook. I have discussed my decision with him and he says he supports me, however, he loves cooking and cooks very high carb/high fat foods. As I'm starting out in the NY, having these foods around will be difficult for me to say no to.
I've offered to cook our meals or show him how to make things less calorically dense. He says "You're beautiful the way you are you don't need to lose weight" which like, very sweet sentiment but I'm doing it for me, I'm not doing it for him lol.
Any advice in getting your significant other on board?
