Tamlin...

I just finished the first 3 books of ACOTAR, in about a week. (Thankfully my children and husband were willing to keep moving without me :).

As with most readers, I felt fully team Feyre and Rhysand. I was 100% for Feyre's revenge in Wings and Ruin. At the High Lord's meeting my jaw dropped at the insults Tamlin flew towards Feyre. And at the end, I didn't give much thought to Tamlin's role in fighting against Hybern. I was very much in the thick of rooting for our High Lord and Lady of the Night!!

Now that I'm done and going through the series, I think Tamlin was done dirty. Amarantha set 50 years of abuse and trauma over all of Prythian. This includes Tamlin. He fought against her as hard as everyone else, and his character traits make it clear how (vs. Rhysand was all a play in shadow). He doesn't have the coping skills to make healthy decisions with Feyre upon their return and tries to ignore everything (to everyone's detriment). When he looses control, it was 100% tune for Feyre to leave and I was fully on board with her going with Rhysand.

At the end of Wings and Fury, we see Tamlin still loves Feyre. He helps her escape Hybern's camp and gives a piece of himself to save Rhysand (whom he hates) and tells Feyre to find happiness. In every way Rhysand does things to protect what he loves, so to does Tamlin.... He just has a different skill set.

I don't think I'm going to read the rest of the books, because I read these for Feyre's POV, but from what I gather Rhysand still does not give Tamlin any respect, and continues to kick him while he's down... That's a dick move. #LetTamlinfindhappinesstoo.
