Hot take on Tamlin
Newer to this group so not sure if anyone else has made this post but it seems like a lot have made comments in the contrary.
Tamlin deserved everything Feyre did to him in ACOWAR. Yes of course a lot of it was based on emotion and revenge. But obviously who wouldn’t want to destroy that man after everything he did?
But my main point is this: him making that deal with Hybern was such a massive betrayal. So why would any of them believe he’d actually align with them? Also his blind trust in Ianthe even after she sold out Feyre’s sisters? INSANE. And the whole “keep your friends close but enemies closer”, if that was his whole plan why didn’t even Lucien know that? I don’t know I just never had sympathy for Tamlin.
Please don’t destroy me in the comments lol
Edit to add: also don’t take this as I think he’s terrible or I hate him and want the worst for him. I just don’t particularly care for him as a “main character” (even if he isn’t really one after book 2).
One more edit: thank you all for the comments! I love the counters and discussions in this thread. I appreciate that no one is attacking me or each other for any views. Fandoms can be rough sometimes lol
